YouTube unfazed by latest challenges

During the press conference, Hurley and Steve Chen anounced that the long-awaited video advertisement platform will be implemented and unleashed on the public within the next two months. They also expressed that the development of tools to detect whether video files comply with copyright law or not is a matter of great importance, since they insist that users of their service are after user-generated content - such as clips of everyday life - and not specialist material shown on the television or at the movies. Nonetheless, the media have continued to make allegations against YouTube and have even threatened to file lawsuits. YouTube videos are watched more than two hundred million times a day, whilst an excess of two hundred thousand new videos are uploaded in the same twenty four hours.
